A Beatrix Potter themed Baby Shower

Baby Shower Celebrations

Last Saturday afternoon, 21st of May, we held a baby shower for' mum to be' Sophie whose baby boy is due in four weeks time.

We held our breath and crossed our fingers that the weather would be fine so we could set up in the garden, and our prayers were answered.  It was an afternoon full of glorious sunshine which just added to the happiness of all family and friends  who attended.

As Sophie already knew her new arrival would be a little boy, we decided to chose the colours lilac/blue, yellow and white.

Bunting, tablecloths and napkins were all made especially for the occasion.  Even the crockery was colour co-ordinated to tie in with the baby shower theme.

In addition to the main table laden with afternoon tea, we also styled a table with  vintage props, such as a gramophone, children's books and building blocks together with a "wishing tree".  Guests were invited to add a wish, message or tips to Sophie and tie them onto the wishing tree.

We thoroughly enjoyed planning this particular baby shower and cannot wait to meet this "little fella".  Sophie's baby is due 22nd of June, so not so long to wait...
