An intimate and elegant wedding at The Orangery Wimborne

 The Orangery at Merley, Wimborne is a hidden treasure set in secluded countryside and is set behind a three acre walled garden with beautiful landscaped grounds and extensive facilities.

We were priviliged to be asked by our clients Carrie and Simon to supply a selection of our vintage crockery for an intimate and elegant afternoon tea during their wedding at The Orangery in August last year. 

The weather was perfect and having the use of the suite and gardens meant as a wedding guest you had exclusive use of the venue and this in turn provided a very  intimate and relaxed day. 

We set all the crockery on a large table covered in vintage linen under the open sided marquee and as and when, wedding guests  wandered up and down and enjoyed helping themselves to finger sandwiches, scones with (homemade) jams, clotted cream and cupcakes all washed down with lashings of tea and/or coffee - and we did happen to notice quite a few made repeat journeys!

We had many lovely comments on the day from wedding guests who absolutely loved the idea of using vintage crockery and accessories for a traditional english country garden tea as part of a wedding which was very encouraging, especially as this was our first 'official' outing!
